You’ve spent enough hours gaming. It’s about time they became relevant work experience.
If gaming is already part of your everyday life, why not turn that knowledge into something you can actually put on your CV?
We’re looking for German-speaking Player Support Specialists to join an international gaming project in Sofia, Bulgaria.
You’ll help players when something isn’t working, answer questions via chat and email and use something surprisingly valuable in this job:
You actually understand gamers.
And if you’ve been thinking about spending a year abroad, this is an opportunity to combine the two, gaining international experience while starting a completely new chapter in Sofia.
What Will You Actually Do?
You’re the person players turn to when they need help.
That means you’ll:
- Support German-speaking players via email and chat
- Answer questions and help solve gaming-related issues
- Understand what the player is trying to achieve – and what has gone wrong
- Find solutions that make sense from a player’s perspective
- Become familiar with the systems and processes behind an international gaming project
- Work alongside an international team of fellow gaming enthusiasts
You’ll receive fully paid training, so nobody expects you to arrive knowing every process or system.
Gaming knowledge, however?
That’s where you have an advantage.
Your Gaming Experience Actually Matters Here
Normally, “I’ve spent hundreds of hours gaming” isn’t the first thing you’d put at the top of your CV.
Here, it’s relevant.
We’re looking for someone who understands gaming culture, communities and the player mindset. You know how frustrating it is when something goes wrong mid-game, and you know how players communicate when it does.
That knowledge helps you provide better support.
At the same time, you’ll gain professional experience in:
Gaming • Player Support • Customer Experience • Digital Communication • Problem Solving • International Operations
So whether Bulgaria becomes home for years or simply one chapter of your life abroad, you’ll have more than memories to take home with you.
Why Sofia?
Maybe you’ve been thinking about moving abroad for a while.
Maybe you want a gap year, but don’t particularly want a gap on your CV.
Or maybe you’re simply ready to experience something completely different.
Sofia gives you the opportunity to live in a European capital with an international community, discover a new country and have the rest of Europe within easy reach.
And importantly, you don’t have to organise the entire move alone.
Your Relocation Package
Moving countries sounds considerably less intimidating when someone helps with the expensive and annoying parts.
You’ll receive:
- €1,500 gross relocation bonus
- Assistance finding your long-term home in Sofia
- Fully paid training
- Attractive salary
- Additional health insurance
- 50+ additional benefits and services
- Career development opportunities
- International working environment
- Ongoing learning and support
- Team activities and social events
Who Are We Looking For?
This one is particularly suited to someone who genuinely enjoys gaming.
You’ll need:
- Fluent German
- A good level of English
- Gaming experience and an understanding of gaming communities
- The ability to see problems from a player’s perspective
- Strong written communication skills
- A helpful and solution-focused attitude
- An interest in learning new systems and processes
- The motivation to become part of an international team
You don’t need to have your entire career mapped out.
You just need to be ready for the next chapter.
Moving abroad doesn’t have to mean putting your future on hold.
You can experience a new country, meet people from around the world and come away with professional experience from the international gaming industry at the same time.
So if you speak German, love gaming and have been waiting for an excuse to try life abroad…
This might be a pretty good one.
